Matt Vogel began as the executive director of UVM Hillel in August 2013. Before moving to Vermont he was the director of the Hillel at Baruch College and created the Kol Hillel initiative with his partners in the Hillels of Kiev, Ukraine and Herzliya IDC in Israel. Matt was awarded the Richard M Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award for "amplifying the global spirit at Baruch College and around the world."
Matt began his career in Hillel as a proud Spartan at Michigan State University as then as Jewish Campus Service Corps Fellow at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He then served as a preschool teacher and administrator with the Boulder JCC Preschool, and moved to New York to pursue an MPA in Nonprofit Management at New York University. While in New York he led the Collegiate Leadership Internship Program (CLIP) for Hillel and helped inspire many participants to pursue careers in the Jewish world. During his time in New York he served as a board member and treasurer of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice.
Matt currently serves on the Hillel International Board of Directors and is a member of the national Director's Cabinet. When not at work he can be found in his gardens tending to Gilfeather turnips (the Vermont state vegetable), countless hot peppers, and 30 some chickens.

Sharon Silverman begin her career at UVM Hillel in 2011 as the engagement and leadership coordinator and currently serves as the assistant director. Originally from Pennsylvania, Sharon graduated from Penn State with a B.A. in Jewish Studies and is thrilled that she could turn her passion for Jewish life into a career. Helping students turn their passions into actions is central to the work she does as Assistant Director, and she is committed to providing opportunities for every Jewish student to find their connection to Jewish life.
During her time at UVM Hillel. Sharon has studied in Isarel through Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, participated in cohort 4 of LAPID, an international professional development opportunity through Hillel International, and is currently in ACCELERATE, an executive training program through Hillel International. In addition, Sharon is a member of Root 7, Vermont’s only contemporary a cappella group as well as Vermont’s chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association.

My name is Dimas Zuniga-Cuellar, and I am happy to introduce myself as the new Operations Coordinator. In this role I manage all administrative bookkeeping for Hillel and am also responsible for assisting with events like Shabbat and other holidays. I am a native from Peru who emigrated six years ago. I am a graduate of UVM and fell in love with everyone that goes on around campus. Hillel is an amazing place to hang out, student and to meet new friends from all over the place, so don't hestitate in coming. I will be ready to support you in anything that you need, so please come by and say hi!

My name is Jennifer Freifeld Prue and I have been the faculty advisor to Hillel for 5 years and serve on UVM Hillel's Board of Directors. I have taught at UVM for almost 24 years in the College of Education and Social Services, Department of Education.
